DIRECTV is rolling out the welcome mat for multi-family properties with a new technology that, for the first time, delivers the full range of DIRECTV video services to buildings of any size, including smaller properties that have been largely ignored by other providers. DIRECTV MDU (multiple dwelling unit) eliminates the placement of multiple dishes on balconies and rooftops and enables MDU customers to receive the same DIRECTV services as other residential customers including more than 160 HD channels; Whole-Home DVR services; DIRECTV CINEMA PLUS™; DIRECTV2PC; Media Share (PC content like photos and video on the TV) and International services. One 32 inch dish installed out of sight takes care of the whole building.
Here’s what you need to know. First, the Federal government quite recently ruled that the cable industry’s monopoly on the connected property industry is over. This means that the existing cable contracts property owners have with their buildings are no long legally exclusive … even if term remains and they have received remuneration.
Next, DIRECTV is prepared to install a single-dish, building centric design for all properties at no cost. There is no maintenance, installation or other costs associated with the service. All the property owners needs to do is provide reasonable Right of Entry to the property and DIRECTV will provide access to a new amenity for the tenants at NO charge to property owners.
Lastly, as a satellite provider and considering the recent de-regulation, DIRECTV is new to this market. They are consequently buying market share. A multi-dwelling unit agreement with DIRECTV will reward you with considerably greater compensation than you have EVER been offered by a cable operator while affording your tenants access to a service offering more channels for less money.
Now for joining our team of MDU Advocates, here’s an example of commissions we dish out. The property management company hooked us up to a property owner who has access to over 50,000 units where he’ll make over
$1M per month in revenue and the property management company took home nearly $500,000. That’s some real money.
SO do you know apartment complex owners, high-rise building owners, mobile home parks, retirement homes, college dorms, frat/sorority house, condominiums and townhomes associations to offer non-rent paying revenue? I think you do. Someone on our team will eventually speak to these individuals, why not you?
This week come listen to our CEO Todd SPencer for 20 minutes and hear how we do it. Must email name, number to get access code.
